MACURH 2016 Regional Leadership Conference - Nov. 4th - 6th

Meet Our Advisors

MACURH, it would be an understatement if we said that this conference would not be possible without the support of our advisory team. These Pro Staff members have committed so much time out of their already busy schedules to make sure that the Conference team had the tools and advice that we needed to succeed. So here are just some of the messages they have for you!

Mike Miller, Conference Co-Lead Advisor

Mike Beth

Co-Lead Advisors – Mike Miller (left) and Beth Little (right)

Hello, my name is Mike Miller and I am one of the MACURH conference advisors! I have been a student affairs professional for 10 years now, and I am currently the Coordinator for First Year Experience here at Northwest Missouri State University. I got started in student affairs because I found a passion for working with college students while working as an RA, and decided that teaching in this aspect of life was going to be more fun than teaching history at the high school level. When I am not working I love spending time at home with my pug  Moe, playing video games, watching football or wrestling, or hanging out with my fellow residential life team members. I am really looking forward to getting all of the MACURH schools here to Northwest, and getting to share our Bearcat energy with you!

Beth Little, Conference Co-Lead Advisor

Hey MACURH! My name is Beth Little and I serve as the Complex Director for Millikan,Beth Dieterich, and Phillips Halls at Northwest Missouri State University. I attended the University of Central Missouri to complete my bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Kansas State University where I obtained my master’s degree in Counseling and Student Development. My first professional position was at the University of Kansas to work with the Union Programs Office in both campus-wide programming and leadership initiatives. I joined NWMSU in July of 2015 and have loved being a part of the Residential Life team here. My passion areas include working with LGBTQ+ initiatives, social justice, social-Greek letter organizations and, of course, residential life! My other areas of interest include cats, *NSYNC and subscription boxes! I am so excited to see the conference team’s dreams finally come into fruition at MACURH 2016! Please feel free to contact me,, if you ever need anything. Sending Molly Moo Love!

Scott Shields, Conference Housing Advisor

Greetings MACURH Conference goers!  I’m the ScottAssistant Director of Operations for Residential & Auxiliary Services at Northwest and the Housing Advisor for the conference.  I’ve been in Student Affairs for 20 years, starting as an PA (Peer Advisor aka RA) at Truman State University.  I went on to grad school for Student Affairs in Pennsylvania, then becoming a Hall Director, and ultimately progressing to my current position.  I currently manage department marketing, technology, run the room selection process and more.  In my spare time, I do enjoy a good Netflix binge, some Xbox time, or playing with my dogs – a couple of Keeshonds.  My wife, daughter, and I have been here about 10 years.  While we live off campus now, we spent our first five living on the Northwest campus.  So, we’ve been right there with you! Welcome to Bearcat Nation!  I hope you enjoy the conference!

Jessie Lundy, Conference Safety, Security, and Transportation Advisor

I am so excited to get to meet all of you at MACURH 2016 and to see the awesome things that you’re doing on your campuses. My hope is that we can learn and grow together and that you will feel like you’re part of the Bearcat family by the time you leave Northwest. We are so excited to have you!
