Now available: Seamless library integration in your course sites

  1. D. Owens Library guides assist students in locating resources and services available for research. The library is delighted to announce two NEW capabilities for displaying resources related to your curriculum within your Northwest Online course sites:

1) CUSTOM:  Content from library guides is displayed within your course at your students’ point of need (can be added within a module, page, or assignment). If interested, please contact me.     Northwest Online module example from a Communication Law & Ethics guide.

2) AUTOMATIC:  When the left-side navigation name “Library Resources” is clicked, a link to the most relevant library guide for your field or course will automatically display. Before the automatic option is activated in Northwest Online on August 8, the library is communicating why the link will appear in your course sites. You’ll have the option of disabling “Library Resources” in Settings – Navigation. However, convenient access to relevant and quality resources may help contribute to your students’ academic success.

You can also move the “Library Resources” link anywhere you like in your left-side navigation.
