You are invited to the Grand Opening of the new Northwest X-PRESS Studio located in B.D. Owens Library Room 234. The Northwest X-PRESS Studio was created by the Learning & Teaching Center staff Shandy Beck, Multimedia and Instructional Design Specialist and Mike Grudzinski, Video and Web Conferencing Specialist with the assistance of Information Technology.
The X-PRESS Studio is designed to allow students and faculty the ability to easily record video presentations without any previous video production experience. It is designed so a video project can be created without any worry about software, lights, and cameras. All that will be needed is a flash drive. There will be a checkout process through the Library Services desk which gives students access and time to the X-PRESS Studio. A Quick Start Guide will be included in the checkout materials.
For students, this studio gives them a place to complete video projects in an organized and streamlined manner. For faculty, the studio provides another option for assignments and projects without the worry of figuring out another technology. It also provides faculty with an easy way to create a video that can be used within Northwest Online.
The grand opening for X-PRESS Studio is Tuesday, January 23 from 12-2 pm in B.D. Owens Library Room 234 and is open to students, faculty, and staff. We will have flash drives and X-PRESS Studio stickers on a first come, first serve basis which will have the X-PRESS Studio logo on them. We will be providing demonstrations as well during the grand opening.
