DigEM Trip Rescheduled

It has been decided that DigEM will make a presence in Omaha despite the recent snow storm!

The annual trip has been rescheduled to Friday, April 15th. We will still be leaving from Wells Hall parking lot at 7:00 a.m. (on the dot!) and stopping at McDonald’s in Rockport on the way toward I-29. Breakfast will not be funded by DigEM, so get your dollar bills ready for the McDonald’s dollar menu! We will visit Gallup and Bozell with lunch at Spaghetti Works in the Old Market in between. Lunch will be provided by DigEM, so come hungry to smash on some free pasta refills! We will plan to return to campus between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. so that everybody can make it to the Goo Goo Dolls concert.

If you were planning to attend the original trip and CAN attend on April 15, you’re set! Just show up and grab your seat on the van.

If you were planning to attend the original trip and are CANNOT attend on April 15, email DigEM and we will refund your $15 payment ASAP.

Thanks for your cooperation!

Snomaha

At this time today, about twenty of the DigEM members should have been sitting down to lunch at Spaghetti Works in downtown Omaha, Nebraska.

DigEM had a trip planned to Omaha, Nebraska to visit two big names in the industry: Gallup Corporation and Bozell Marketing Company. Here, they have the opportunity to network with professionals and get a first hand look at possible future occupations. The trip is free for paid members of DigEM and only $15 for non-members. Thanks to help from fundraising and funding from Student Senate, the trip includes a quick breakfast on the way and a nice lunch to split up the day. Unfortunately, another snow storm blew into Northwest Missouri starting yesterday at noon and ruined the plans for the trip. Already dangerous highway roads are no fun with snow and ice!

The group trip has become an annual tradition for DigEM, varying between surrounding big cities like Kansas City, Omaha, and Des Moines. To continue this tradition, the trip will be rescheduled for March or early April. To stay up to date, keep an eye on this blog or email the club.
