B.D. Owens Library Tools

There are many tools that are available to faculty, staff, and students within the library. These tools can be helpful with research, writing papers, and reserving rooms for study or work.

A few of the tools that are available to mobile users are different applications that are associated with our library and different websites that can be used for article research and other information. The B.D. Owens Library application is a free app that is compatible with Apple devices. The app allows you to search the library and MOBIUS catalogs, request a book to be delivered to the campus library, renew items and cancel holds, check the library hours, and view library news and updates.

The student tools that are available through the library can be very helpful with classes that require research papers.  A student tool that is very useful is a search engine that allows users to search for articles by subject and database. There are links that show you how to cite in different styles so you do not miss those vital points for a citing error. You can also ask a librarian for assistance by emailing one of the staff members or talking to someone at the library services desk. Other tools are FAQs, important information on journals and magazine articles, and tips on doing research.

Faculty and staff options are also available through the B.D. Owens Library site. Professors can reserve a research instructional by a librarian in a library classroom, their own classroom, or online. Faculty and staff can also reserve materials that are available through the library such as, videos, models, periodicals, and other materials. Tutorials and tools for professional development are also available.
