Where Do I Go For Computer Help?!

Have you ever had an issue with your computer and were not sure how to fix it? You’re in luck! There are several locations on campus where you can go for help. However, each location does something different.

The Jon T. Rickman Electronic Campus Support Center (ECSC) is located on the corner across from the baseball field and B.D. Owens Library. This is where students, faculty, and staff pick up and return their university-provided notebook and tablet computers. The ECSC provides support for university-provided notebooks FREE OF CHARGE! This location can assist you with university-provided hardware and software questions, as well as Northwest network issues or concerns. The ECSC is open from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday-Friday. You can also call their Help Desk at 660-562-1634.

The Center for Information Technology in Education (CITE) is located on the second floor of Owens Library. The CITE office provides assistance for students and faculty using their eCompanion/eCourse. This is the place to go if you are having trouble accessing your eCompanion/eCourse, or if you are having password problems for this account. They are open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and you can call them at 660-562-1532. If they are closed, contact the eCollege Help Desk at 303-873-0005. For more information about the CITE office, head over to the CITE website: http://www.nwmissouri.edu/cite/index.htm

The TSAs are responsible for assisting lab patrons with the standardized lab software (including Adobe Photoshop and DreamWeaver), troubleshooting basic hardware and software problems, maintaining the printing supplies within the labs, and helping to keep the labs professional and orderly. The TSA desk is available Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.

Client Computing Office
The Client Computing Office is also located in the computer lab on the first floor of Owens Library. The Client Computing User Consultants provide assistance with all standardized University software, including Adobe Photoshop and DreamWeaver. They also conduct non-credit, non-profit basic computer training courses for faculty, staff, and students dealing with standardized university software. Furthermore, they handle myNorthwest, CatPAWS (Banner) and Northwest Network and Email password changes.

Remember, these locations are here to assist you with any computer issue you might have, so don’t hesitate to ask!
