Tied In to Northwest

“How can I stay connected with campus, keeping up with events and performances, without constantly stopping by the student union or checking back to the Northwest homepage?”

“Why do we call ourselves ‘The Electronic Campus’?”

“Where can I find people giving away free t-shirts all the time, like a football game every day of the week?”

Many students have these questions, and this article has the answers. One answer is the Northwest Facebook page. Currently 28,244 people follow Northwest on Facebook, and the number is still rising. One might ask, “Why so popular”? Well, for one, Northwest gives away a lot of free t-shirts for trivia questions. They also run coupons for food available at the student union, post videos and productions of students on campus, post updates pertaining to daily events in the calendar, show important resources both academic and career-related, as well as posting the opinions and comments of current, past and future Bearcats.

In short, the Northwest Missouri State University Facebook page is tied in to what is happening on campus and at our school every day of the week. Going above and beyond staying connected, the Facebook page also gives opportunities for giving back to the campus such as fundraisers and donations through Paw-to-Paw. The page can be found by searching for Northwest Missouri State University on Facebook or by following this link http://www.facebook.com/nwmissouri . To join in and be a part of the community, get constant updates about events on campus, or get a chance at free t-shirts, follow Northwest Missouri State on Facebook.

However, Northwest does not leave all of its social networking to be done of Facebook.
